2008 Charter Yacht Shows:
This year we returned to the Tortola and St Thomas Shows. The yachts as a whole looked better than I’ve ever seen. The crews are working hard to maintain these yachts and it shows!
The Tortola show was dominated by Catamarans. They all looked great. Stand outs: the 10 guest 76 foot Akasha, Zingara and the new Kings Ransom. These luxurious yachts have the feel of a mega power yacht with there amenities, but offer so much more!
As always, I still love Aldebaran! She’s a great yacht with enthusiastic crew, a lot of space for only 6-7 guests.
Our focus is on those yahts offering diving. Please check them out on the “diving” page of our site.
St. Thomas: ANother great show, yachts looking great! It’s now being held at the fabulous location: Yacht haven Grande. This venue was constructed on the old Yacht Haven site. It’s definitely set up for mega yachts! There’s quite the shopping there. Anyway, back to the yachts. There were power yachts, remodelled Obsession, looking nicely updated, NSS Patton, Semper Fi and brand new Viaggio. The monohull sailing yachts were well represented. Quixote looked great! A new charter yacht, 5 Star was a big hit too.
The yachts are ready for the season!
2007 Charter Yacht Shows
Two new shows for us this year were the expansive Ft. Lauderdale Boat Show and the Antigua Chater Yacht Show. Both of these shows showcased primarily mega yachts. Power yachts were the definite rulers.
Stand out yachts in each catagory were:
RM Elegant – She is a Greek-built 237 foot yacht built to accommodate 30 guests in 15 cabins. Her primarily Greek crew is delightful! This yacht is perfect for family vacations and reunions or corporate charters.
Starfire – At 178 feet, she accomodates 12 guests in luxury. Your every need will be anticipated by her attentive crew.
