Mediterranean Yacht Charters

The Mediterranean Sea encompasses the wonderful cruising areas from the coast of Spain and the Balearic Islands to The coasts of France, Italy, Croatia, Greece and Turkey. All of the rich culture, history and cuisine of the area await you.

The Mediterranean Sea yacht offerings range from small monohull sailing yachts and the unique gulets of Turkey to luxurious large sailing and power yachts.

The Mediterranean crewed yacht charter season generally runs from April to the end of October. July and August are the peak months in the Mediterranean, a crewed yacht charter will still enable you to escape onshore tourists while on the water. A great time to charter is on either side of peak season, from April-May and September-October. The weather is generally warm and sunny, and there will be fewer tourists. Anchorages and moorages will be more available. Perhaps you’ll even have the opportunity to enjoy a quiet cove, with no other yachts around.

8 Days in the Mediterranean

Day 1: Begin your trip on board a luxurious motor yacht in Nice and set sail immediately for St Tropez.  Get to know your yacht and enjoy a leisurely lunch on board during the approximate 3 hour journey.

Day 2: In the morning sail to Iles d’Hyeres known as the Golden Isles.  Drop anchor at the scenic Ile de Porquerolles with its bays bordered by heather, scented myrtles and pines trees.  A perfect location for snorkeling, this is an underwater reserve with protected marine life where the water is teeming with fish.

Day 3: Enjoy the coastal voyage of just over three hours to the pine forested Iles de Lerins. In the evening the yacht will move into the bay of Cannes, take a stroll along La Croisette and perhaps enjoy a drink at the famous Carlton Hotel.

Day 4: Drop anchor in the morning in Bay of Villefranche, an idyllic town in an outstanding setting.  Wander around the 13th century maze of narrow streets.  Visit the picturesque, dramatically perched village of Eze, before cocktails at the Grand Hotel Cap Ferrat.  Set below tumbling, subtropical gardens, the 20th century palace is located at the tip of the peninsula.

Day 5: Drop anchor outside the famous Principality of Monaco.  Venture up to the Grimaldi Royal Palace and explore the boutiques of Monte Carlo. An excursion in the evening to taste the nightlife is a must either at the Sass Café or the equally lively Jimmy’z.  Should you wish to dine ashore the famous Louis XV restaurant in the Hotel de Paris is the place to go.

Day 6: Arrive Portofino, Genoa, in the morning. This small Italian city is considered to be among the most beautiful Mediterranean ports.  Spend the morning exploring the boutiques, lunch on your yacht followed by a lazy time round the Jacuzzi, swimming nearby our back to town for more shopping!

Day 7: Cross to Corsica. Corsica is stunning and Calvi is the Mediterranean at its most perfect; a colourful array of buildings, cobbled streets climbing up to a Genoese Citadel, harbourside cafes and restaurants and a pine fringed crescent of silver sand stretching as far as the eye can see.

Day 8: During breakfast enjoy the spectacular views while cruising down the coast to La Girolata.  This is one of Corsica’s National Parks.  Swimming and snorkeling are a must.
